Is food available at the Airport?

FLYDBQ Café is located in the airline terminal. The restaurant's Winter hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The FLYDBQ Café phone number is 563-589-1723. When the restaurant is closed, there are vending machines for coffee, soda and snacks.


What is the price of parking at the airport?

Parking is free at the Dubuque Regional Airport.

Is my flight on time?

You can check at www.aa.com and click on Flight Status, it helps to know the flight number

You can always call 800-433-7300 and ask for flight information.

Reservations and Airfares:

Travelers can find out about airfares as well as check on their reservations at www.aa.com or they can call American’s Reservation number at 800-433-7300. 

Group Travel

American also has group travel reservations for parties of 10 or more people.  They can call 800-221-2255 for group reservations.

Flight Delays & Cancellations

DELAYED:

If flight is delayed, AA still asks the passengers traveling on the flight to come out to the Airport at least 45 minutes before the original flight time. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If the flight is cancelled, American Airlines reservations in Dallas automatically dials the phone number in the passenger’s contact information to rebook/reschedule their flight. 

It is American Airlines and American Eagle's policy to contact the passenger in advance, whenever reasonable, at the phone number(s) provided in the reservation record. If you booked your reservations with a travel agency, Reservations representatives attempt to contact the agency when no customer phone contact exists. In addition, AA will provide phone, email and text updates for those customers who sign up for Flight Status Notification via aa.com.



When cancellations and major delays are experienced, AA will attempt to reroute you on our next flight with available seats. If the delay or cancellation was caused by events within our control and we do not get you to your final destination on the expected arrival day, they will provide reasonable overnight accommodations, subject to availability.

Carry On Bags – There is no charge for Carry On Luggage

Passengers can bring one small carry-on bag plus one personal item per passenger as long as the carry-on bag fits comfortably and does not exceed overall dimensions of 45 inches (length + width + height).

The maximum dimensions cannot exceed any of the following measurements: 22" long x 14" wide x 9" tall or 115cm (56 x 36 x 23 cm). All carry-on items should be stowed in an overhead bin.

Personal item - includes: purse, briefcase, laptop bag OR a similar item such as a tote that does not exceed 36 inches (length+width+height) and must fit under the seat in front of you. As an added bonus, travelers who are only bringing a personal item can board the plane before Group 2 boarding.

Normal Checked Bag Dimensions

62 in maximum 50 lbs - (length + width + height).

  • $25 for the first checked bag.
  • $35 for the second checked bag.
  • $150 for any additional pieces



Overweight Baggage Charges

OVERSIZED LUGGAGE FOR Flights within and between the United States, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada

  • Checked baggage weighing over 50 lbs. But not more than 70 lbs. will be charged at the rate of $100 per piece.
  • Checked baggage weighing over 70lbs. but not more than 100 lbs. will be charged at the rate of $200 per piece.

ATM

There is an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in the airline terminal near the baggage claim.


Disabled Parking

There are disabled parking spaces available adjacent to the airline terminal. There are also disabled parking spaces available near other businesses at the airport.


TDD Telephone

The Dubuque Regional Airport provides a telephone device to assist the hearing impaired in the airline terminal.


Wheelchair Assistance

Wheelchair assistance is available from the airlines serving the Dubuque Regional Airport. Please make arrangements with your air carrier prior to your arrival at the airport.


Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings at the Dubuque Regional Airport.


How close is the nearest hotel from the Airport?

The closest hotel to the airport is about 3 miles north on Hwy 61. More hotels are available in Dubuque, some operate a courtesy shuttle that will pickup and drop off patrons that hold a reservation at their hotel. Also available are several Victorian style bed and breakfasts that offer a chance to relive the style from the past.


How long does it take to drive from downtown Dubuque to the Airport?

It takes approximately 14 minutes to travel from downtown Dubuque to the airport. The airport is located 6.5 miles south of Dubuque on Hwy 61.


Foreign Currency Exchange

DBQ Airport does not have available foreign currency exchange. You can check with your banking institution or Seaway National Bank located in Chicago O'Hare Airport that can provide this service.

Seaway Bank can provide foreign currency exchange with more than 200 currencies available, but they do not have coins. You can contact them at 773-462-9972. They have 4 locations in O'Hare Airport. Main Hall of Terminal 2 open daily from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST, Terminal 1 between Gates B9 & C18 open daily from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Terminal 3 Gate K11 from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Terminal 5 from 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. CST.
