Avelo Airlines Sets Start Date for Flights to DBQ

Avelo Airlines announced today it will officially begin flying at Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) on March 22.

Free bus service will be provided March 22, 25 and 29 to Customers who need to return to their origination point at Cedar Rapids’ Eastern Iowa Airport (CID).

Avelo will operate twice weekly nonstop service between DBQ and Orlando’s most convenient airport – Orlando International Airport (MCO) – on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

As previously reported, DBQ was unable to secure the necessary Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approval of its airport security plan in time for Avelo Airlines' debut on January 11. Avelo has temporarily operated its twice weekly service to MCO from CID. DBQ officials confirmed they received the necessary TSA authorization.
